Services
EVICO coordinates the full EV infrastructure lifecycle — site assessment through long-term maintenance. Each service is part of the same engagement, delivered by EVITP-certified field teams across Colorado.
Site Assessment & Feasibility
Required before any deployment. Determines scope, electrical requirements, and cost range before equipment decisions are made.
Request AssessmentWhat It Is
A structured evaluation of your site’s electrical infrastructure, physical layout, utility service capacity, and EV charging requirements — before any contracts are signed.
What’s Included
- Physical site walk and parking layout review
- Electrical panel and service capacity evaluation
- Load calculation for proposed station count and type
- Conduit routing and utility service adequacy review
- Preliminary scope, cost range, and grant eligibility
Why It Matters
Deploying without assessment leads to undersized electrical service and unexpected utility upgrade costs. Assessment resolves unknowns before they become change orders.
Utility Coordination
The most commonly underestimated phase. Utility timelines drive project timelines — most schedule failures trace back here.
What It Is
Full coordination with the serving utility — capacity inquiry through interconnect applications, transformer upgrades, and service scheduling.
What’s Included
- Utility capacity inquiry and service availability review
- Interconnect application preparation and submission
- Transformer upgrade coordination where required
- Utility scheduling and field coordination
- Experience with Xcel Energy, Black Hills, PVREA, and rural co-ops
Why It Matters
Most project schedule failures originate at the utility, not the contractor. Early utility engagement protects the overall project timeline.
Electrical Design & Engineering
Proper design prevents rework. Most post-installation failures trace back to design shortcuts taken earlier in the project.
What It Is
A complete electrical design package that turns site assessment findings into stamped, code-compliant documentation ready for permit, utility review, and field execution.
What’s Included
- Single-line electrical design
- Panel schedule and load calculation documentation
- Conduit routing and raceway plans
- AHJ plan review coordination and permit support
- Load management system design integration
- Coordination with electrical engineer of record when required
Why It Matters
Documented design protects every party on the project — owner, installer, inspector, and utility. It’s also a precondition for grant reimbursement on most Colorado programs.
EV Charging Installation
EVITP-certified installation across Level 2 and DC fast charging. All property types, statewide Colorado coverage.
What It Is
Licensed field execution of the approved design — conduit, panel work, equipment mounting, and commissioning — delivered by EVITP-certified electricians under EVICO supervision.
What’s Included
- Conduit installation — EMT, rigid, and underground as required
- Panel work — circuit additions, upgrades, and subpanel installation
- Equipment mounting and wiring — EVSE, cable management, and bollards
- Level 2 and DC fast charging installation
- Network and communications wiring
- Final inspection coordination and as-built documentation
Why It Matters
EV infrastructure isn’t standard electrical work. EVITP certification, documented commissioning, and consistent install standards are what separate operating systems from problem sites.
Grant & Incentive Coordination
Colorado has active incentive programs from CDOT, Xcel Energy, and federal sources. Most projects are eligible for at least one — many are eligible for more.
What It Is
Identification, application, and post-award documentation support across the major Colorado and federal EV charging incentive programs.
What’s Included
- Incentive program identification and eligibility review
- Documentation for CDOT, NEVI, and Charge Ahead Colorado
- Xcel Energy EV incentive program documentation
- Affordable housing grant coordination support
- Ongoing compliance documentation for grant-funded sites
Why It Matters
Grant funding reduces total project cost meaningfully — but only when the application package is built correctly the first time. Rejections and rework cost more than the incentive.
Commissioning & Handoff
Installation completion is not project completion. Commissioning confirms the system actually works before EVICO leaves the site.
What It Is
A documented testing and handoff process that validates each station, network connection, and access control configuration before the site is turned over to the operator.
What’s Included
- Station-level functional testing
- Network connectivity and remote access verification
- Billing and access control configuration validation
- As-built documentation and panel schedule updates
- Property management and operations team walkthrough
- Maintenance program enrollment
Why It Matters
Most operational issues that surface in the first six months are commissioning gaps — not failures. A documented handoff prevents them and clarifies accountability if something does go wrong.
Maintenance & Compliance
Three structured tiers — the operating layer after installation. Not an upsell, and not optional for sites that need to stay running.
Full Program DetailsProgram Summary
- Tier 1 — Monitoring: remote monitoring, fault alerts, monthly reporting
- Tier 2 — Preventative: quarterly inspections, documented records, priority dispatch
- Tier 3 — Full-Service SLA: guaranteed response, parts and labor, annual compliance review
Compliance Relevance
Grant documentation, Colorado metering requirements, and inspection records all require structured maintenance. EVICO programs generate and maintain that documentation trail automatically.
Why It Matters
Most charger downtime is preventable. Sites enrolled in a maintenance program have measurably higher uptime and retain operating value far longer than unsupported deployments.
Portfolio & Multi-Site Support
For property managers, fleet operators, and platforms managing EV infrastructure across multiple Colorado sites.
What It Is
A consolidated engagement model for organizations operating across many sites — with standardized documentation, consistent install standards, and a single point of accountability.
What’s Included
- Multi-site assessment and phased deployment planning
- Standardized documentation and reporting across sites
- Portfolio-level maintenance programs with dedicated contact
- Contractor and platform field execution partnership
- Consistent installation standards across properties
Why It Matters
Managing EV infrastructure across a portfolio without a consistent partner produces inconsistent uptime, inconsistent documentation, and inconsistent costs. Centralized support solves all three.
