Maintenance & Operations

The Operating Layer That Keeps EV Infrastructure Online

Installation is the beginning. What happens after commissioning determines whether EV charging infrastructure stays online, stays inspection-ready, and retains its value over time. EVICO maintenance programs are the operational structure most sites don’t have — and should.

Maintenance starts with assessment Every EVICO maintenance program is scoped after a Portfolio Readiness Assessment — not before
No fixed pricing — every site is different Station count, property type, utilization, and location all determine program scope and cost
Two tracks — standard and retail/compliance Fleet, multifamily, and workplace sites have different needs than paid public and retail charging sites
Maintained by a Colorado-certified RSA The same team certified to inspect retail charging maintains your infrastructure to that standard
Documentation is a byproduct — not a separate service Every program generates dated inspection records supporting grant, utility, and regulatory requirements
Where Maintenance Starts

Every EVICO Maintenance Program Starts with a Portfolio Readiness Assessment

EVICO doesn’t scope maintenance contracts without understanding the site. A Portfolio Readiness Assessment gives EVICO — and you — a clear picture of your current infrastructure condition, compliance exposure, and maintenance needs before any program is recommended or priced. It’s the right starting point, and it stands on its own as a valuable deliverable regardless of what comes next.

Schedule a Portfolio Readiness Assessment
What the Assessment Determines
  • 01 Current infrastructure condition — what you own, where it is, and what state it’s in
  • 02 Compliance exposure — documentation gaps, registration status, and inspection readiness
  • 03 Maintenance findings — what needs immediate attention and what can be addressed through a structured program
  • 04 Program recommendation — which maintenance tier fits your site type, utilization, and operational requirements
  • 05 90-day action roadmap — a written deliverable with prioritized next steps regardless of what you decide
The EVICO Standard

Maintained to the Standard We’re Certified to Inspect

As a Colorado Division of Oil and Public Safety–certified Registered Service Agent, EVICO knows exactly how retail charging infrastructure is tested and inspected. We maintain your equipment to that same standard — and generate the records that keep it inspection-ready.

About Our RSA Services
Program Structure

Three Programs. Structured Around Accountability.

Each program defines the scope of EVICO’s operational responsibility. Selection depends on infrastructure type, utilization level, and the degree of accountability your operation requires. All programs are scoped and priced after a Portfolio Readiness Assessment.

Program 01
Remote Monitoring

Continuous remote visibility into system status. Corrective dispatch coordinated on-request at standard rates. Appropriate for newly commissioned sites or lower-utilization deployments.

  • Continuous remote monitoring
  • Fault detection & alert notification
  • Monthly uptime reporting
  • Remote reboot coordination
  • On-request dispatch at standard rates
Program 03 — Fleet, Retail & Public Sites
Full-Coverage SLA

Defined response commitments, parts and labor coverage, portfolio-level reporting, and annual compliance review. Required for fleet operations, high-utilization public sites, retail/metered charging, and grant-funded infrastructure.

  • Everything in Programs 01 & 02
  • Monthly on-site inspections
  • Defined response window SLA
  • Parts & labor for defined failure categories
  • Portfolio-level uptime & incident reporting
  • Portfolio-level uptime & incident reporting
  • Dedicated operational point of contact
  • Annual compliance documentation review

Program scope and pricing are site-specific. EVICO evaluates station count, property type, utilization profile, and location before recommending a program structure. All programs are scoped after a Portfolio Readiness Assessment.

Operational Reality

What Unmanaged Infrastructure Looks Like Over Time

Most EV charging infrastructure is deployed without a formal operational support structure. The problems that follow are predictable — and almost entirely avoidable.

Undetected Downtime
Stations go offline and remain so for days or weeks. Without continuous monitoring, failures surface through user complaints — not operational oversight. In fleet environments, this removes vehicles from service. In multifamily, it creates resident liability. In public charging, it undermines program compliance.
Undefined Accountability
When something fails, the original installer, equipment manufacturer, and network operator each have a defined scope — and a reason the failure falls outside it. Without a designated operational partner holding accountability across the full system, the property owner becomes the default responsible party.
Inspection Record Gaps
Grant programs, utility rebate agreements, and Colorado regulatory requirements generate ongoing documentation obligations. Sites without structured maintenance records face exposure when audits occur.
Unplanned Repair Expense
Without a service agreement in place, corrective maintenance dispatches at full retail labor rates with no priority scheduling. Organizations with no service relationship pay materially more for the same repairs and wait significantly longer.
Accelerated Asset Degradation
Connectors, cables, enclosures, and electrical connections degrade measurably faster without scheduled inspection and preventative intervention. Infrastructure without operational oversight routinely reaches end-of-useful-life years ahead of its designed service life.
Compliance Coordination

Inspection Records & Documentation Readiness

EVICO operational programs generate and maintain documentation supporting Colorado utilities, grant program requirements, and EV charging regulatory obligations. Documentation is a byproduct of structured operations — not a separate service.

Grant Program Compliance

CDOT, NEVI, and Charge Ahead Colorado grant-funded sites require ongoing maintenance and uptime documentation. EVICO programs generate dated inspection records aligned with these requirements.

Utility Program Documentation

Xcel Energy and other Colorado utility EV programs may require maintenance and performance records to retain rebate eligibility. EVICO inspection records are structured to support these submissions.

Colorado Metering Readiness

Retail-level EV charging at certain commercial sites may be subject to metering accuracy standards. EVICO coordinates inspection records supporting compliance readiness — consult legal counsel for site-specific obligations.

AHJ Inspection Record Trail

Operational programs generate a consistent, dated record of every site visit — connector assessments, electrical checks, corrective actions, and operational status — supporting AHJ and periodic inspection requirements.

Corrective Action Documentation

Every service dispatch and corrective action is documented by date, scope, and outcome — maintaining an unbroken compliance and service history for each site.

Annual Compliance Review

The Full-Coverage SLA Program includes an annual review of all inspection and corrective action records, packaged for grant reporting, utility program compliance, or regulatory submission as required.

EVICO provides operational documentation support — not legal compliance advice. Consult qualified legal counsel regarding regulatory obligations specific to your property type and charging operation.
